Biography

Frederick William Redman (SN 2154) was born in Creswick but was farming at Sulky Gully when he enlisted on 15th July 1915. He was 21 years of age, and single. He was posted to the 8th Light Horse Regiment, departing Melbourne in April 1916 on board the Barunga. On November 19th 1917 he died of wounds inflicted during the advance on Jerusalem of the Australian Mounted Division. He is buried in the Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
