Biography

Fredrick Victor Taylor was born in Geelong and was a Wheelwright by trade when he enlisted in the Infantry Brigade Train 8 on 17 July 1915 at the age of 26. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A11 Ascanius on 10 November 1915. He served through until the end of the war, reaching the rank of Staff-Sergeant. He left England on June 2nd 1919 to return home on the Beltana.
