Biography

Born in Darlington, England, Thomas Linsley was a single 31 year old fitter at the time of his enlistment in Melbourne, Victoria on the 16th of October 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A38 Ulysses on the 25th of October 1916.
From the 30th of April 1917 to the 17th of May 1918, he was promoted to Second Air Mechanic, First Air Mechanic, Corporal, Sergeant and Sergeant Mechanic.
Thomas returned to Australia on the 24th of November 1919 and was discharged on the 8th of January 1920.
