Born in Ascot, Victoria, Henry Lange was a single 23 year old lengthsman at the time of his enlistment in Cunnamulla in Queensland on the 16th of December 1914. His unit embarked from Brisbane, Queensland, on board HMAT A53 Itria on the 9th of February 1915.
Henry returned to Australia on the 5th of August 1919 and was discharged on the 4th of October 1919.
