Biography

James Alexander Nicholl, a married 37 year old bank manager, enlisted on the 23rd of April 1915 as a Captain. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A34 Persic on the 28th of May 1915. He was promoted to Major on the 17th of September 1917. He returned to Australia on the 28th of August 1919. James' appointment was terminated on the 25th of April 1920.
