Biography

Richard William Aisbett (SN 14209) was born at Scarsdale and grew up in Sebastopol. He enlisted in the British Expeditionary Forces in London, UK, December 18th 1914. He was posted to the Goldstream Guards with whom he was serving when he was killed in action in Belgium on March 23rd 1916. He was 23 years of age and is buried in the Brandhoek Military Cemetery in Belgium.
