Alfred Alexander Nunn, a 22 year old farmer from Haddon at the time of his enlistment on the 20th of June 1915 in Ballarat, embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A57 Malakuta on the 23rd of September 1915. He was promoted to Lance Corporal on the 3rd of June 1917 and appointed Temporary Corporal on the 31st of August 1918. He returned to Australia on the 7th of August 1919 and was discharged on the 6th of October 1919 due to the termination of his enlistment period.
