Charles Clark Bell was 21 years old, and an unmarried bank clerk in Dunolly when he enlisted in the 14th Infantry Battalion on 6th August 1917. He had been born in Ballarat. His Regimental No. was 7444. He was killed in action in the fierce fighting north of Amiens on the 8th August 1918. He is buried in Heath Cemetery at Harbonnieres, France.
