John Henry Miles enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 18 on the 2nd of October 1917. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria on the 17th of August 1899 and was single. He volunteered and was stationed with the Royal Australian Navy aboard HMAS Melbourne, HMAS Cerberus and other numerous ships with the Regimental number 6273. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 1st of October 1922. Tree number 3843.
