George Dingwall was born in West Calder, Scotland was single and was employed as a Labourer. He enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 18. He volunteered and was stationed with the 8th Light Horse Regiment, 12th Reinforcement with the Regimental number 1557. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 1st of May 1919.
