James Patrick O'Donnell was a 22 year old driver at the time of his enlistment on the 27th of November 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A32 Themistocles on the 28th of January 1916.
On the 14th of March 1916 he was appointed Driver.
He returned to Australia on the 2nd of July 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 25th of August 1919.
