Biography

Sydney Weir was born in Brynmawr, Wales, but enlisted from Ballarat on 12th October 1915. He was 39 year old teacher who was a widower. He joined the 12th Field Ambulance with Regimental No. 10258. On 3rd September 1916 he was killed in action at Mouquet Farm. His name is on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
