Biography

Thomas Edwin White (SN 82934 NZ Army) was born in Ballarat to English parents but was a storekeeper in New Zealand when he enlisted on June 21st 1918. He commenced training with the 47th New Zealand Reinforcements and by mid-July he had been promoted to corporal. He was troubled by influenza during his training, but the war ended before he was required for war zone service. He was demobilised on November 23rd 1918.
