William Alexander Sloss (Hon. Maj.) born at Bacchus Marsh, was a married 43 year old medical practitioner in Ballarat when he was appointed as a Medical Officer, Transport Service on January 5th 1916. He completed one return voyage as Medical Officer on troopships sailing between Australia and Egypt, outwards aboard the Afric and return aboard the Argyllshire. His appointment was terminated on April 1st 1916.
