Biography

Albert Carl Parker (SN 1012) born at Lal Lal, was a 21 year old labourer when he enlisted in Ballarat on January 11th 1915. On July 9th he embarked aboard the Euripides and sailed to Egypt. In June 1916 he arrived in France to serve with the 24th Infantry Battalion. During his service he avoided battle wounds and aside from some short periods of illness he came through the war without suffering physical harm. He returned to Australia aboard the Trasos Montes, disembarked at Melbourne on May 22nd 1919 and was discharged on July 22nd.
