Biography

Patrick Leo Griffin was born in Scarsdale and was living there when he enlisted on 4th March 1916. He was 24 years old, single and working as a telegraph linesman. He was posted to the 21st Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 5339. He was seriously wounded and evacuated to 4th General Hospital at Camiers, where he died. He is buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery, France.
