Ian Donald Hart (SN 3778) was born in Ballarat. He was 29 years old, single and a tailor's presser when he enlisted in Melbourne on June 30th 1915. He sailed from Australia in November on the Ceramic and once in Egypt was posted to 60th Infantry Battalion. He then moved on to France where he was killed in action at Flers on November 27th 1916. He is buried in Guards Cemetery, Les Bouefs, France.
