Biography

Thomas Paterson Veal was an 18 year old labourer from Ballarat East when he enlisted there on 22nd February 1915. He was born in Ballarat East, and was single. He was allocated to the 46th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 2220. On 1st November 1918 he died of broncho-pneumonia [one of the names of Spanish 'Flu]. He is buried in St Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France.
