Biography

William Herbert Edmends was born in Ballarat East. He enlisted from Ballarat on the 22nd of February, 1915. He was 18, single and working as a labourer. He joined the 23rd Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 905. He was killed in action at Gallipoli, and buried in the Lone Pine Cemetery there.
