Andrew Isles Melville was born in Ballarat and enlisted from Ballarat East on 15th March 1915. He was an 18 year old, unmarried butcher. He joined the 24th Infantry Battalion with Regimental No. 227. On 28th August 1918 he died of a perforated stomach ulcer, and is buried in Portsmouth [Milton] Cemetery, UK.
