Biography

Born in Ballarat, Osmond George Brooks Medley was a married 24 year old labourer at the time of his enlistment on the 22nd of March 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A14 Euripides on the 10th of May 1915.
On the 4th of August 1916, Osmond was wounded in action. On the 8th of August he embarked for England, and on the same day was admitted to the General Military Hospital in Colchester, England with a gunshot wound to his right arm.
Osmond returned to Australia on the 12th of May 1917, and was discharged as medically unfit on the 19th of June 1917.
