Biography

Joseph John Webb (SN 1787) was born in Ballarat and attended the Golden Point State School. On March 20th 1915 he enlisted in Melbourne. He was a photographer, 21 years of age and single. He was posted to the 24th Infantry Battalion and embarked in mid-July. Sadly, soon after reaching Gallipoli, he was killed in action on September 23rd 1915, and is buried in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Turkey.
