Joseph John Webb was born in Golden Point, and on 26th March 1915 he enlisted as a photographer living in Ballarat. He was 21 and single. He was posted to the 24th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 1787. On 23rd September 1915 he was killed in action at Gallipoli, and is buried in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Turkey.
