Biography

Thomas Valentine Copperwaite enlisted from Ballarat West on 4th May 1915. He was 18 years old, single and a fitter. He was born in Ballarat. He was appointed to the 21st Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 348. He was killed in action during the fighting at Mouquet Farm on 26th August 1916, and is buried at Serre Road Cemetery in France.
