Biography

Arthur Westray Toop was born in Ballarat, and enlisted from Ballarat West on 20th July 1915. He was single, aged 22 years, and a carpenter & joiner. He was a Sapper in the 2nd Field Company Engineers, with Regimental No. 1964. He contracted Typhoid and on 21st November 1915 he died and is buried in the Suez War
Memorial Hospital, Egypt.
