John Law Taylor was born in Ballarat East and enlisted from Ballarat on 15th April 1915. He was 28 years old, married and working as a carter & driver. He was posted 24th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 1563. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 29th November 1915. His name is on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
