Biography

Born in Ballarat, Harold E.R. Hall was a single 20 year old clerk at the time of his enlistment on te 8th of January 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A31 Ajana on the 4th of June 1915.
On September 7th 1915 he was appointed Driver with the 6th Field Ambulance.
On March 1st 1916 he was taken on strength with the 12th Field Ambulance and on June 5th 1918 reverted back to Private at his own request.
On November 7th 1918, Harold was appointed Lance Corporal.
He returned to Australia on the 16th of May 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 15th of July 1919.
