Harold Leslie Brand enlisted in Surrey Hills, Victoria at the age of 19 on the 18th of August 1914. He had been born in Bairnsdale, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Carpenter. He volunteered and was stationed with the 8th Battalion, G Company with the Regimental Number 749. He transferred to the 60th Infantry Battalion. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 21st of July 1918. Tree No. 419.
