Alfred Harold Possingham was a member of the permanent Army. He enlisted in the 8th Infantry Battalion on 17th August 1914, and was appointed Adjutant. He had been born in Houghton S.A. He was 31 years old and married. He was killed in action at Krithia on 8th May 1915, and his name is on the Helies Memorial, Turkey.
