Biography

Frank Edward Lee (SN 463) was born in Ballarat East but enlisted in Sydney, on August 24th 1914. The 25 year old, unmarried tailor was accepted into the 4th Infantry Battalion and sailed from Sydney in October on board the Euripides. He was killed in action in the confused fighting at Anzac Cove. He was firstly reported as missing, but a Court of Enquiry held in July 1915 determined that he had been killed in action on April 29th 1915. With no known grave his name is recorded on the Australian Memorial at Lone Pine Gallipoli, Turkey.
