Biography

Frank Edward Lee was born in Ballarat East and enlisted in Moore Park, NSW, on 24th August 1914. He was 25 years old, single, and a tailor. He was accepted into the 4th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 463. He was killed in action in the very confused fighting at Anzac Cove. He was firstly reported as missing, but a Court of Enquiry determined that he had been KIA on 29th April 1915. His name is on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
