Biography

Born in Ballarat, Walter Thomas Mitchell was a single 31 year old tailor at the time of his enlistment on the 19th of October 1914 in his hometown. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A35 Berrima on the 22nd of December 1914.
Walter returned to Australia on the 10th of May 1918, and was discharged as medically unfit on the 14th of June 1918.
