Jack Morrissey was a single 24 year old draper at the time of his enlistment on the 8th of June 1915. His unit embarked from Brisbane, Queensland, on board HMAT A69 Warilda on the 5th of October 1915.
On the 28th of March 1918, he was wounded in action with a gunshot wound to his right leg. He rejoined his battalion on the 11th of December 1918.
Jack returned to Australia on the 9th of September 1919, and was discharged on the 9th of October due to the termination of his enlistment period.
