Biography

Born in Ballarat, William George Hicks was a single 19 year old boundary rider when he enlisted on the 5th of January 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A34 Persic on the 28th of May 1915.
On the 2nd of May 197, William was taken on strength with the Second Anzac Headquarters.
He returned to Australia on the 10th of March 1919 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 2nd of May 1919.
