Alfred Ferdinand Shaw enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 29 on the 18th of January 1915. He had been born in St Arnaud, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Saddler. He volunteered and was stationed with the 13th Light Horse Regiment, A Squadron with the Regimental number 430. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 28th of March 1919. Tree No. 581.
