Ernest Morrison was born in Ballarat, and on 5th January 1915 enlisted from Ballarat North. He was 27 years old, single and a miner. He was drafted to the 6th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 2009. Later he was transferred to the 59th Infantry Battalion. He was killed in action in the fighting at Amiens on the 8th August 1918, and his name is recorded on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
