Biography

Arthur Thomas Grigsby (SN 163) attended the Humffray Street State School and was 18 and working as a farmer when he enlisted on January 27th 1915. He was posted to the 22nd Infantry Battalion, sailed from Melbourne in May on board the Ulysses and served at Gallipoli for the last three months of that campaign. He was killed in action at Broodseinde, Belgium, on October 4th 1917, and buried in La Laiterie Military Cemetery, Belgium.
