Biography

Born in Ballarat, Stanley Kitchen was a single 19 year old cabinet maker at the time of his enlistment in his home town of Ballarat on the 18th of February 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A14 Euripides on the 10th of May 1915.
On the 9th of July 1916 he was appointed Lance Corporal, and then was promoted to Corporal on the 5th of December 1917.
Stanley was awarded the Military Medal on the 25th of December 1918.
He was discharged on the 25th of July 1919 due to demobilisation.
