Andrew Smith enlisted in Liverpool, New South Wales at the age of 21 on the 1st of February 1915. He had been born as Andrew Clark in Patrick, Scotland, was Married, and was employed as a slaughterman. He volunteered under an assumed name Andrews Smith and was stationed with the 15th Australian Army Service Corps, as Regimental Number 6686. He later enlisted under his Birth name of Andrew Clark and was stationed with the 6th Battalion, 6th Reinforcements under the Regimental Number 2306 . He was discharged and returned to Australia on the 20th of November 1918. Tree number 605.
