Biography

Richard Ernest O'Shanassy was born in Ballarat and enlisted there on 25th February 1916. He was a fireman, married and aged 27. He was posted to the 14th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 2194. He was killed in the trenches at Gallipoli on 20th August 1915. His name is on the Lone Pine Memorial, Turkey.
