Biography

Born in Ballarat, Henry Lewis was a single 22 year old jockey at the time of his enlistment on the 25th of March 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A71 Nestor on the 11th of October 1915.
On the 20th of January 1916, Henry was promoted to Driver.
On the 22nd of April 1919, he marched out to the U.K for demobilisation.
Henry returned to Australia on the 5th of August 1919, and was discharged as medically unfit on the 28th of September 1919, his debility not being stated.
