Biography

William Richard Todd (SN 2814) was born in Ballarat attended Invermay State School. He was a 20 year old farm labourer when he enlisted in Ballarat on July 22nd 1915. He was posted to 23rd Infantry Battalion and embarked from Melbourne in late October aboard the Ulysses. In September 1916 he was transferred to 58th Infantry Battalion. On August 9th 1918 he was killed in action near Lihons, and is buried in Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France.
