Joseph Michael Kennedy enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 21 on the 17th of July 1915. He had been born in Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Hairdresser. He volunteered and was stationed with the 14th Battalion, 12th Reinforcements , later transferring to the 46th Battalion with the Regimental number 3799. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 11th of August 1916. Tree number 712.
