Leslie Absolom Peters Ellingsen was born in Ballarat, Victoria was single and was employed as a Electrician. He enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 21. He volunteered and was stationed with the 8th Battalion, 8th Reinforcement later transferring to the 15th Light Trench Mortar Battery with the Regimental number 2574. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 13th of February 1917. Tree number 729.
