Biography

Jack Gross was 18 years old, single, and a draper's assistant from Mt Pleasant when he enlisted on 15th June 1915. He was born in Ballarat. He was sent to the 14th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 4205. He was killed in action on 11th April 1917 near Bullecourt. His name is on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, in France.
