Eryx Gabriel Inceldon was born in Belmont, but enlisted from Ballarat North on 18th August 1914. He was allocated to the 8th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 35. Later he was promoted to Sergeant, and transferred to the 60th Infantry Battalion. When he joined he was 21 years of age, single and a saddler. He was killed on 19th July 1916 when his unit was manning the trenches near Bullecourt. He is buried in VC Corner, Australian Cemetery & Memorial, Fromelles, France.
