Biography

Henry William Walshe enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 23 on the 3rd of July 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Salesman. He volunteered and was stationed with the 14th Battalion, 12th Reinforcements with the Regimental number 4326. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 22nd of February 1917.

Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as William H. Walsh.
