Walter Matheson Wilberforce was born in Coolgardie, Western Australia, was single and was training as an Engineering Student. He enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 18. He volunteered and was stationed with the 46th Battalion with the Regimental number 3950. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 12th of March 1918. Tree number 806.
