Biography

George Herbert Greenwood was a Lance Sergeant in the 8th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 287. He enlisted from Ballarat on 18th August 1914. He was 20 years old, single and a bank clerk. He was killed during the Landing at Gallipoli on 25th April 1915. His name is on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli.
