Harrie Richards Wilson (SN 2841A) was born in Ballarat where he attended the Dana Street and Humffray Street State Schools, Ballarat High School and the School of Mines. He was a 21 year old draughtsman, married to Georgina, when he enlisted in Melbourne on July 7th 1915. He initially joined the 21st Infantry Battalion but on reaching Egypt, was transferred to the 7th Infantry Battalion before reaching France in March 1916. On August 18th 1916 he was killed in action at Pozieres, has no known grave, and his name is on the Australian Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux, France.
