Biography

Martin Vincent Walsh enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 18 on the 7th of July 1915. He had been born in Sebastapol , Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Labourer. He volunteered and was stationed with the 14th Light Horse Regiment, 13th Reinforcement with the Regimental number 4327 . He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 5th of April 1919.

Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as Martin V. Walshe.
