Patrick James Franklin Malone enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 18 on the 8th of July 1915. He had been born in Egerton, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Driver. He volunteered and was stationed with the 8th Light Horse Regiment, 11th Reinforcement with the Regimental number 1352 . He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 3rd of July 1919.
